76079 Ravager Attack Review!

76079 Ravager Attack

Ravager Attack is a 2017 LEGO Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 set. It is $19.99 in the US and £29.99 in the UK. Its New Zealand price is not currently known but I guess it will either be $39.99 or $49.99.

EDIT: After a visit to my local retailer, I saw the NZ price was $49.99.

Three minifigures are included: they are respectively Taserface, Mantis, and Rocket.

They all have good detailing, especially Taserface. Mantis’ hairpiece is made of a rubbery material, Rocket’s headpiece is not.

Here are the builds:

It consists of Taserface’s Ravager ship and a small tree section for Mantis and Rocket.

The tree section consists of two parts that are clipped together: a rapid-stud shooter section and the main tree. The main tree has part of the Milano’s wing attached with a ball joint.

Taserface’s Ravager ship is essentially a baby version of the Milano.

It has an opening cockpit bubble and four stud shooters. The cockpit bubble looks a little too large to me, and due to the proportions, the ship looks rather chunky and awkward, but it’s still a fun little ship to swoosh around.

However, the playability in the set is limited. Stud shooters are stuck on all over the set, and there aren’t really any quality play features. I’d recommend getting this set for the minifigures though, but only on a discount.
