75526 Elite TIE Fighter Pilot Pre-Review!

Hi everyone! Today I have a pre-review of 75526 Elite TIE Fighter Pilot! This is a 2017 The Last Jedi CCBS/Buildable Figure set which I believe will retail for £19.99 in the UK, $24.99 in the U.S., $39.99 in Australia, and $44.99 in New Zealand, similar to other previous similar-sized Star Wars Buildable Figures like 75523 Shoretrooper. Piece count is currently unknown.

Like all CCBS sets, there are no minifigures included. So let’s go to the build itself! 75526 Elite First Order TIE PilotThe build of the TIE Pilot looks pretty straightforward. It seems to be based on the usual CCBS template, just with a bit of modification using Technic pieces for the respirator system. 75526 Elite First Order TIE PilotAs with most helmeted buildable figures, the helmet sculpt is “most impressive”. I especially like the hose that connects to the respirator, though, the respirator itself is connected in a rather awkward-looking way. The dual printed shoulder pads are great, however! 75526 Elite First Order TIE PilotHis gun looks good, with a mostly black but some red color scheme which matches his helmet. Like most CCBS guns, pulling on the trigger will fire out a spring-loaded shooter.

Thanks to his CCBS construction, the First Order Special Forces TIE Fighter Pilot can be posed in a variety of interesting ways.

75526 Elite First Order TIE PilotAll in all, this is quite a good figure. It has to be said, though, that his respirator’s Technic  build to hold it there looks awkward and compromises the overall look of the figure. I also do not think this is superior to even the 75121 Death Trooper set, due to the fact that, despite being good-looking, the helmet is not perfect. This still is, however, my favorite of the 4 The Last Jedi buildable figures.
