Hey everyone! Today I have a review of another Series 18 minifigure, the Classic Police Officer. This minifigure is the rarest in the Series 18 lineup, with only one minifigure available in the entire box. He is basically a modern version of one of the first minifigures ever made in a set – the police officer from 600-2 Police Car. This will therefore be a very nostalgic minifigure for many fans, and I myself really like the vintage nod. Let’s check out the character!

The Police Officer is strikingly plain in comparison to all the other figures in this series, but he looks nice in a different kind of nostalgic way. It has been forty years since the set with the original police officer was released, and the official LEGO storyline is that the Costume Party was organised for him as it’s his birthday. The minifigure wears a white cap and has a printed smiley face, along with a simple torso print with five buttons and a badge. These look plain but I like it, especially how vintage LEGO-like the design is.

The minifigure has no printing on the back of his torso but I believe this is accurate. Actually, I think the original minifigure had a sticker as his torso print, but I’m glad LEGO didn’t do that here.

What accessory does the Police Officer have? Well, what accessory would be more appropriate than a printed 1×2 tile with the design of the original Police Car box on it! This is a lovely accessory and I really like it. At first, I was confused as to why the bottom plate is yellow and not white, but upon closer inspection the actual box of the original set had yellow sides, so this is actually a neat accurate detail.

I love this minifigure! He is a fantastic homage to one of the classic LEGO minifigures, and looks fabulous. I don’t have any complaints with him – I just wish he was more widely available than one per box.
