71021-9 Spider Suit Boy CMF Review!

Hey everybody! Today I am continuing my CMF Series 18 review with 71021-9 Spider Suit Boy. No, not Spider-Man, it’s Spider Suit Boy. Is this figure good?

The Spider Boy wears a black outfit with a spider design, and has a very muted color scheme. Even his face is light grey in color, like that of the Spooky Boy CMF. His head accessory is a spider head, with four beady black eyes and two grey fangs. His torso print has a spider web design on top of a zippered sweater, while his legs are unprinted.

The Spider Boy has a neck attachment which shows a spider’s body. Along with the head, it makes the spider’s body into three segments, which doesn’t seem accurate as most spiders only have a head and abdomen. It resembles an ant more, with the head, thorax, and abdomen, but the inclusion of eight legs, along with the matching designs and names, confirms this is meant to be a spider.

The Spider Boy’s accessory is the old LEGO spider mold — not sure why LEGO didn’t go with the newer one in black as the Spider Boy’s outfit matches that one better. The Spider Boy has an alternate head which suggests he is scared of the spider!

71021-9 Spider Suit Boy

Overall, I’m not a huge fan of this figure. I think he looks fairly bland and plain, and nothing really makes him amazing.

Rating: 2.5/5
